Hola Todos,

Lunes:

We finally got are boiler fixed. We dont have to shower in freezing cold water anymore, but it certainly got me up in the morning. We went to a Mexican Food Court this lunes, which was crazy. There are no restaurants just people with their own locals coming up to us and telling us to eat their food. I swear we had like ten people come up to us when we got there and tell us to sit down in their local. Anyway we finally sat down in one locl and ate some tacos dorados. Then some other misionaries Elder Stoddard and Elder Castro invited us to come celebrate the birthday of Elder Stoddard with pepsi and Mtn dew. It was a day with alot of food. We also had the opportunity to have a noche de hogar with a Menos activo family named Marco and Soledad. We played a fun game with one dice, paper for every player, and 1 pencil. Each person takes turns rolling the dice until they roll a 1 or a 6 then they can grab the pencil. Basically the object of the game is to write 1,2,3... until 100. Once another person roles a six or a one they can steal the pencil and begin working on their sheet. Also if someone roles a 4 everyone has to rotate their paper to the right including the person writing and then he starts where his next paper left off. It was super fun and stressful.

Martes:

We had the oportunity to teach Humberto again (a Menos Activo who always brings an investigadora named Emerica to church). It was a little sad because he told us that we wont be able to baptise Emerica because another cristian church baptised her without permission and now her parents are a little suspicious of baptism. I hope that we can meet them and we can convince them to give us permission to baptise Emerica. We also had the opportunity to give a blessing to Catholic woman who has recently gone blind in her right eye. We felt impressed to bless her with patience and told her that this trial was to make her stronger so that she could learn some new things in the coming weeks. We hope we can fufil God's promise and teach her well. We were also got out of a lesson that day at 8:55 we were tired and ready to go home but we decided to go try another person that is never in their house. We went to her house and her mother in law came out named Blanca came out to tell us that she wasnt there. As we tried to set another cita to come back Blanca said we should just teach her. It was a humbling experience to say the least, but at least we had a new opportunity to teach a great lesson to a new investigator.

Miercoles:

We had our Conferencia with our president today. The main topics were about the sacrament and changing our heart. As missionaries we sometimes focus on our investigators before the sacrament. We are waiting at the door to usher them into the sacrament to get another asistencia. We are hurridley calling them to see if they are coming. However, the sacramet is a special time when we need to focus on ourselves and how we can improve in the next week. We should be sitting in the sacrament 15 min early listening to the prelude music. We should also be meditating, thinking, and pondering about our lives. It was super cool to learn about the sacrament and I hope to better apreciate during my mission. We also learned about how we can be righteous but if our heart is not in the righ place it will not be for our benefit. 1 Cor. 13 talks alot about this. We can only give one thing to God that is our will and if we do we will be exalted into our divine potential.

Oh yeah I also sang in front of president so that was fun. I got a thumbs up at the end so it wasnt too bad.

Jueves:

We had the oportunity to teach Humberto and Emerica again and were able to finish teaching the plan de salvación. Emerica seems so ready for baptism we just need to call her dad and ask him for permission. She is basically an active member right now in out church. We also had the oportunity to teach a menos activo named Jose Antonio. We read Alma 31 about prayer. While I was reading I noticed how Alma uses the names of the other missionaries in his district en especifico. It was a testimony to me that I need to be mores specific in my prayers so that I can bring greater meaning to my mission and have a better relationship with God.

Viernes:

We blessed a restaurant in the area of the Hermanas de Libertad today, which was a little weird but cool.

Sabado:

We were able to teach the Dr. Gabriel again and the first thing he said to us was he prayed twice to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and did not recieve an answer. We then explained to him how he needs to read the Book of Mormon in order to have more knowledge and evidence to know if he was a prophet. However I am excited to see that he prayed and is willing to experiment with our words. It was also my first time in the waters of baptism today. We had the oportunity to baptise 2 investigators from Libertad. As I was preparing for the baptism I was super nervous. I felt like I was going to forget the words to the ordinance or mess up their name or something like that. However with a prayer I entered into the freezing cold water of the baptismal font with tranquilidad and paz and the ordinance went very well. It was super cool to see the joy on the investigators faces and on the missionaries.

Domingo:

Birthday of Elder Smith. The member Wendy Guzman made cake with a printed picture of his face for the comida today. It was super funny and super cool to see how much the members of this ward love Elder Smith. We also had a fun time eating all of his Japonesa comida de su paquete. We also visited a Menos Activo family named la familia Cordero. We are hoping to baptise their daughter who has 9 years of age. They are super cool and we hope we can help them.

Lunes:

We did a tour of PeƱafiel today. A drink company that uses mineral water in their sodas. It was super cool. The fridge is old type of veding machine you would put in a peso and would be able to open the fridge and take a soda . However they stopped using them because too many people were getting 3 for 1 deals from the open fridges. They also had a super cool mural about the history of teahuacan. (We know the truth they used to baptise people in this mineral water) We also got to try the mineral water from this cool fountain also had some cool cactuses.
