Splits with a Swimmer

We had intercambios with the asistentes this weekend so that was super cool. They are Elder Adams and Elder Dominguez. I went on interchanges with Dominguez, which was super cool because he was a swimmer like me before he came out in to the mission. We had a great time talking the whole day about swimming. His favorite stroke was the breast stroke my arch nemesis. He was also preparing for the olympicsWe also had a great Noche de Hogar with the Pta de Sociedad de Socorro with a investigadora who's not married to her excommunicated husband. We talked about ayuno and how she fasts she may have a miracle and may be able to marry her husband. We are hoping that she can because she has lived with her partner for 23 years. It was a special lesson because of the spirit.

Hey everyone I just barley changed areas again. I am now in a small Pueblo called Nealtican. All the missionaries call it mini Utah because aparantley about 50% of the town is mormon. The say that when Nealtican was just barely getting started they didn't have any religion here and that the mormon missionaries arrived first and converted the town before the Catolicos could arrive. I don't know its pretty funny I think this is my smallest area yet only a few blocks but we will see what we can do here.

I also have a new companion named Elder Garcia. My old companion Elder Martinez is staying in Tehuacàn and my old companion Elder Hernandez is going there to be his companion. Anyway super excited for a new area new things and new faces.

There was only one major event from the last week. A menos active member from Tehuacàn died last week. So I got called to play the piano and bear my testimony. I am thankful that my mom forced me haha to play the piano so I could enjoy blessings like bringing music into other peoples lives. I am also super thankful that we have the Plan of Salvation that teaches us about the next life. We know that we will be with our families for eternity and continue progressing and learning in the next life until the resurrection, when everyone will be reunited once again. A family member of the Departed even thanked me for playing which was super cool.

Anyways new things are happening I hope that you all have a great week and I love you all

Hey everyone don't have to much time so I am just going to talk about a few key moments this week

The first awesome thing that happened this week is that I got invited to the baptism of the Golden Investigator Elizabeth. It was a super awesome experience. I also saw her crying tears of joy when her friends, the family of Carlos Reyes, that invited her to the church sang When I am baptised with guitar. It was a super cool experience and I am super grateful that I got to contribute to her conversion.

We also had our conferencia with Presidente Stellmon again. It was cool because he talked alot about finding people to teach. I am super excited to apply his teachings to our area. He focused in on the members and getting referencias from them. So I also want to invite all of you guys to help out your missionaries and give them a reference.

Sorry that this is so short but at least I can send you guys some pictures. Have a great week!!

Working Hard

Lunes:

Today we had to head up to Puebla to renew the Green Card of Elder Martinez because he is from El Salvador. On the way up there we got to watch a movie called Fin, which was super weird. It was basically about the end of the world and people just kept on disappearing until the last two people sailed off into the ocean then end credits rolled on to the screen it was wierd. However it was super cool to see the new Mission offices and talk to Presidente Stellmon for awhile.

Martes:

We found a new menos activo named Israel, who has been inactive for a few years. so we are trying to find out how we can help him return to the Church. We also had a good lesson with Elizabeth and Francisco our golden investigators. We had invited them to baptism the week before and they had said they would think about it. Then last Sunday their Hermanadors or Friends of the Church showed her the baptismal font. After that they all sat down and talked for awhile and started bearing their testimonies. Elizabeth said by the end all of them were crying and she had accepted baptism. We were super happy but they live in a different area. So we had to pass them over to other missionaries, but at least these other missionaries have a super cool baptism. I also hope that we will be invited to her baptism because she was such a perfect investigator.

Miercoles:

We did intercambios today with the elders from Chilac  named Elder Nunley (The elder that worked in the temple with Grandma and Grandpa Thompson) and Elder McCombs. It was super cool to head down to their pueblo and see what a white wash is like. They have about 30 members asisting their branch and I dont know why but I felt a lot of potential for their area. They basically get to start from scratch and build up this tiny brach from nothing. What a opportunity!! We also did not have to many citas. However when we went to one house and knocked on the door nobody answered except for the kids. At first we were thinking "Oh well the investigators arnt here lets go and try to find someone else" but then we thought of the story of Jesus " Suffer the little children and deny them not for such is the Kingdom of God" So we taught a short lesson on how to pray. It was a cool sweet little lesson to teach like Jesus. We may look at others and say they wont understand, they are not old enough, we are wasting the time of more important people, but Gods ways are not our ways. Some people will accept the gospel through a whole bunch of little acts throughout their life. Elder Nunley and I also had a super cool Noche de Hogar with some members and some investigators. We were playing the game pictionary with scripture stories and one of the investigators kids did not know all the stories like the adults do. For some reason he always came to me to ask what he needed to draw. It was another cool experience that I think God was telling me that even the children can learn.

Jueves:

We had a bunch of different lessons with Recent Conversos named Clarrissa and Luis and also with Menos activos named Ivett and Almaquio. Almost all of these people are super busy and dont have time to go to church, but we are hoping our messages will touch their hearts and they will want to return to the church.

Viernes:

We had some fun doing service with Hma Canaan again. She is the Grandma of our area. So before we started she cooked us a huge breakfast with mamelas. We were so full. We helped her set up some shelves and moved a ton of her old stuff. We had another lesson with MA Odet and we had the opportunity to bring our Mission Leader. It was an Ok lesson until the very end when everyone testified about Eternal Families then it got super powerful. We were also able to attend the party of Elotes of our ward because some investigators came. The Elotes were super GOOD and the investigators said they felt very welcomed into the ward.

Sabado:

We taught a Abuelita de 90 anos named Felipa. It was a super cool experience to sing for her to lift her spirits and teach her a short verse. She is such a happy person always grinning and joking around with us. We also had my first classes de ingles which were kind of fun.

Domingo:

We showed up to church about 40 min before the sacrament would start and the second counselor sideled up to us and asked us to give a ten min talk. I dont think i did have bad for how nervous I was. I talked about how the members of the church need to be like the pebbles del hermano de Jared they need to provide light to everyone so that everyone can make it to the promised land in one piece.

Sorry that the last few days are so short ran out of time Love you all!
